Antique Tin Candle Molds

Antique Tin Candle Molds

Retailer: Betterbee
$40.15 USD at time of publication Buy from Betterbee

Description from Betterbee

These handsome, hand-crafted tin molds are authentic reproductions of the candle molds used by our colonial ancestors. They come in two sizes- 6 inch and 9 1/2 inch. 2/0 or #2 wicking is typically used with this taper mold.

Hint 1: We highly recommend the use of ReleasaGen Spray to remove the candles from these molds. If you still have trouble, try placing the molds directly in the freezer overnight after the wax has hardened.

Hint 2: These molds are intended for hobbyist use only. Not as appropriate for commercial quantities. If you intend to make a lot of candles, you’ll have better success using our Polyurethane Taper Molds.
