Description from MoMA Store
Best known for his geometric paintings, many of which are in the Museum’s collection, Josef Albers applied the same rigor and logic to his design work while director of the Bauhaus workshop. A classic of the era only recently brought into production, Albers’ geometric desk simplifies the workspace into a series of abstract planes that can be modified to suit the user’s needs. An adjustable side wing can be flipped up to create an expansive surface to accommodate an additional person for collaborative projects.
