The 362 Hastoe Windsor Chair from Matthew Hilton’s Windsor collection was named after a neighboring village of High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire, where the Windsor chair originated. Made of Ash and American Black Walnut using traditional Windsor chair-making techniques, thus furthering the story, the evolution, of the English Windsor chair.
Ercol, a manufacturer with history and experience in building the Windsor chair, is the UK’s largest manufacturer of solid wood furniture. With nearly 100 years of history, Ercol is the last of the High Wycombe furniture makers whose beginnings were in chairs of this type.
Available in solid Ash with a solid American Black Walnut seat and stained Ash rail across the top.
