Above: Designed by Pierre Sindre for Orsjo Belysning, the Visir Table Lamp in Rough Brass is a dimmable, battery-operated lamp that looks as elegant on a dinner table as it does in the garden. Very versatile. At €433, it’s a gift for a friend that you really appreciate. Above: The Alessi Socrates Corkscrew, designed by Jasper Morrison has changed my wine opening game significantly. I struggled with a classic corkscrew for years because I liked the look of it—and didn’t want anything too large taking up the cutlery drawer. Then I bought the Socrates and it pops out the cork brilliantly. Plus the accordion design makes it compact when not in use. The corkscrew can be found for $72.56 on Amazon.
