"Walking into a Mariage Frères store is categorically one of the most exhilarating olfactory experiences it is possible to have," according to scent expert Chandler Burr. We agree: Our favorite scented candles for the home come from the venerable French tea house. The company’s Thè des Pluies was inspired by the tea aroma that has permeated the wooden counters of their Parisian shop; as an added benefit, the crimson wax in the black jar makes for a visually compelling seasonal offering. The candles are not cheap (the usual cost is $70), but for one day only—December 12th—NK Shop in LA is offering Thè des Pluies for $50 as part of a one-day holiday shopping event.
