Above: A glimpse of Dark Horse Coffee Automat in Toronto, Designed by Mjölk.

Of note this weekend:

  • “I could watch this all day long,” writes Fan of this puzzle-like Hong Kong apartment with clever hidden storage.
  • Looking for something new to do? Margot reports that the Harvard Graduate School of Design is offering their fall lectures and conferences virtually via Zoom (and personally is interested in “American Cultural Landscapes: Black Roots and Treasures,” among others). Take a look at the full schedule here.
  • Another reason to head to Foxfire Mountain House upstate: Guest beds will now be dressed in blankets by Evangeline Linens, part of a collaboration with the Portland, ME, company. (They’ll be available for purchase in Foxfire’s online shop, too.)
  • Studies in blue: admiring a Flemish designer’s ever-changing Mexico City townhouse.
  • Margot has been admiring Remodelista favorite real estate stagers Hollister and Porter Hoveys’ work at architects Joseph and Mary Merzs’ 1969 house in Brooklyn Heights, which is on the market. See more glimpses on their Instagram (and check out the Hoveys’ insider staging/stying tips here, too).
  • Clothes to live in these days: Salter House’s new in-house line of day dresses, made in NYC in Liberty prints and Japanese woven gingham and inspired by vintage shirting.
  • And we’re collecting pens and papers from Goods for the Study for sending mail far and wide this autumn, open at 50 West 8th Street and 234/236 Mulberry Street in NYC for browsing or pickups of online orders.
