Our 1890 Victorian is 12'6" wide. This little den is the space we find ourselves most often, so it had to feel warm, instead of just a walk through en route to the kitchen. The upstairs parlor floor is tall and majestic, but with only 6 rooms and 3 people in our house every inch needs to be used.
