Zettel’z is a grand chandelier where the Bohemian crystal drops are substituted by scribbled paper notes from some incurable romantic’s desk. The light shines through the paper mobile. In this work Maurer plays with traditional approaches to chandelier manufacture, using precious and semi-precious materials.
Stainless steel, heat-resistant satin-frosted glass, Japanese paper. Halogen Halolux ceram clear, 125 volts, 250 watts, socket E27 (top), halogen PAR 30, canopy diameter 47.24″. Cable length 129.92″. 31 printed and 49 blank paper sheets DIN A5. Complete with bulbs.

Located in Copenhagen, “The house was very basic and quite minimalistic,” says Johanne. “The floors are the old wooden floors from 1927; [there was a] newly renovated bathroom with beautiful Jura Grau marble tiles, which was just how we like it. All rooms plain, painted white, so it was quite easy for us to make it our own and give it a touch of us.
