Description from Quitokeeto
We discovered this beautiful boxed collection of young cedar chopsticks while traveling through Nara Prefecture, Japan. Each of the thirty pairs is wrapped with a varying shade of pastel paper, then housed in a collective box that releases the scent of spicy cedar upon opening.
Nicer than disposable chopsticks, but not precious, they’re great for day-to-day use, for passing around dinner parties, or as a nice accent to a picnic or potluck spread. They also make a lovely present or housewarming gift. These chopsticks are mindfully shaped, and are intended for repeated use.
Unlike many chopsticks, these are free of chemical preservatives, such as fungicides, and bleaching agents. They are made from young cedar involved in a healthy forest-thinning program, and certified forest-friendly by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture.
