Description from Common Room
Twin Flower was a favourite plant of the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, who formalised the modern system of naming organisms with both a scientific and common name. The scientific term for Twin Flower (Linnaea borealis) references its great name-giver. A family tree of sorts, this design by artist Fee Greening records the trajectory of life from roots to wings.
