Iittala’s Teema starter set makes a great gift for weddings and housewarming parties. The set contains 4 large plates (26 cm), 4 smaller plates (21 cm), 4 deep plates (21 cm) and 4 bowls (15 cm).
The Teema tableware collection, designed by Kaj Franck, features a minimalist design based on three basic forms: square, rectangle and circle. Franck’s aim was to create simple and functional plates, with colour as their only adornment. The minimalist plates suit both everyday use and festive dinners. The tableware was first manufactured under the name Kilta in 1953–1975, and in 1981 it was renamed Teema.

Finnish ceramic and glass designer Kaj Franck (1911-1989) realized a powerful truth in his distinguished career: simple is beautiful. Despite the world moving at an ever-fastening pace, from one decade to another, that simple truth remains. Franck’s inspiration and principles began a tradition in Finnish design, which is still alive and strong today. His best-known works are Iittala Teema and Kartio series, and his heritage is a part of every Finnish home.
