Description from Design Within Reach
A two-seater version of the classic Windsor Chair, the graceful Originals Loveseat Bench (1956) was designed by Lucian Ercolani, who founded the British furniture company Ercol in 1920. Ercolani envisioned this piece to suit a variety of areas, from entryway to lounge setting, but saw it being particularly useful at a dining table that’s used in a living room, or what’s known as a great room today. Like everything from Ercol, the Loveseat Bench is handcrafted in solid ash or walnut with traditional joinery techniques, completely free of metal or screws in its construction. The back rail is steam-bent, and the large outward-shaped seat is carved for comfort. Made in the U.K.
