With the ability to hang from any wall, the Drop Basket will be perfect for display or storage purposes. Each basket is lovingly hand-formed one at a time in Doug Johnston’s studio in Brooklyn, NY. Made from sewing thread and braided 100% cotton cord, and stitched on vintage industrial zig-zag sewing machines. The technique is itself based on the ancient method of making ceramic coiled pots as well as coiled basketry.Measures approximately 6″ tall x 20″ in circumference at its widest, 6″ opening and hangs 3″.
Because each piece is handcrafted, the actual item you receive will have its own unique marks, stitching, shape and details that might vary slightly from the photos shown. The rope used is raw cotton, as a result the products will soften with use though they will still hold their shape.
