Our own form of the ‘Comb Back’ Windsor Chair is traditionally made by our dedicated Windsor chair maker from English ash. The blackened finish, unique to ash is achieved using a bare flame, after which the surface is burnished to remove any traces of soot and retrieve some of the warm colour and texture of the grain.
