Remodelista Announces Holiday Markets in Portland, Ore. and San Francisco

November 15, 2015

NEW YORK, Nov. 17, 2016 — Remodelista.com, the go-to home interiors and renovation website for design enthusiasts and professionals, today announced upcoming Remodelista Holiday Markets in San Francisco on Dec. 10 -11 and Portland, Ore., on Dec. 17-18.

Remodelista Markets offer site readers a chance to shop for one-of-a kind, handmade goods from a select group of artisan makers and designers, as well as a chance to connect with the people behind their favorite products. Both markets will feature a variety of home goods, as well as clothing, jewelry, organic botanicals, artisanal foods, and more. Occurring annually since 2010, the Remodelista Markets enjoy a strong reception in the design community, both online and offline.

For the fifth year in a row, the San Francisco Market will be co-hosted by Heath Ceramics at their retail and production space in San Francisco’s Northeast Mission neighborhood. This year’s Portland Market will be co-hosted by Rejuvenation in their flagship location in southeast Portland. Remodelista is also teaming up with media partner, GRAY, to get the word out to design fans in the Pacific Northwest. Entry into both markets is free.

“The Remodelista ethos and aesthetic strongly resonates with our readers, who are passionate about the site and see us as a community of like-minded thinkers,” said Julie Carlson, editor in chief for Remodelista. “These markets are an antidote to the world of online commerce, offering a chance to meet and mingle with the makers and learn their stories.”

Each market will offer a chance to meet Remodelista editors. Carlson will be signing copies of her book, “Remodelista: A Manual for the Considered Home” and Gardenista Editor-in-Chief, Michelle Slatalla, will be signing copies of the group’s newest book, “Gardenista: The Definitive Guide to Stylish Outdoor Spaces.”

“Hosting these markets is a way to directly introduce Remodelista’s readers to artisans who might otherwise have trouble reaching a larger market,” said Regina Connell communications director for Heath Ceramics. “We’re thrilled to be involved in an event that brings the Remodelista aesthetic to San Francisco and combines their refined design inspiration with our favorite local talents.”

“We look forward to seeing the beautiful goods from vendors invited by Remodelista; they have an incredible eye and are dedicated to quality and craftsmanship,” said Kate Sullivan, brand marketing lead for Rejuvenation.

The San Francisco Remodelista Market will be held at Heath Ceramics at 2900 18th St, on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Portland Remodelista Market will be held at Rejuvenation, 1100 SE Grand Ave. on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
