Trend Alert: Silver Service—5 New Antique Dealers Recasting Tradition

September 26, 2025

Noticed recently: silver is having a moment. A new guard of dealers and designers are reviving formal silver tableware and decor in ways that feel distinctly modern, while stripping away the fustiness. No more auctions to scour or online markets to scroll—these curators present a considered edit of silver, selected for form and quality.

From the baroque grandeur of 18th-century artistry to the spare restraint of Scandinavian modernism, their offerings recast silver not as a dust-covered antique but as an expressive element of the present. Here, silver returns to the table as a medium for reinvention—enduring, expressive, and full of character.

Their penchant for silver led to a recent pop-up at Dover Street Market Paris, where they presented an extensive edit of antique silver objects. Online, their offering ranges from a grand étagère and fruit cup (“There is always a suitable silver object for vegetables and fruits,” they note) to espresso spoons, set among stainless steel and other objects.

The hallmarks, weight, and patina or tiny imperfections tell you where it’s been and how it’s been used.” Pieces are available exclusively via Instagram, @treasurestudio_cph.
