We didn’t think we could love our four-legged family members any more—until this past year, when their companionship and comfort has proven all the more essential. With that in mind, here’s a collection of perches, accessories, and surprises for cats and dogs, and their fans, all made for use—and good-looking, too.
Above: From Lucy Balu of Munich, the Cat Hammock-Swing, €119, is made of wool felt and powder-coated metal designed to hold up to 33 pounds, so . Mounting screws included. Above: The Apple Nosework Toy, $21, has two layers and multiple pockets for hiding treats. It’s from a collection of produce-shaped dog plushies made by The Furry Folks. Above: Celebrated for its tableware, Philadelphia ceramics studio Felt + Fat makes this Large Pet Set, $164 (shown), for “medium to large dogs or a VERY hungry cat.” For “small dogs, big cats, and huge lizards,” consider the Small Pet Set, $127. The bowls come in several colors and are set in a concrete base. Above: Just-launched NYC company Raja Doggo makes dog beds out of Indian organic cotton and linen block prints in a range of florals and stripes. The fabric is dyed with natural ingredients, such as indigo and turmeric, and stitched by a team of upholsterers in Brooklyn. This one is the Marigold Print. They start at $215.
Above: Egg Press’s 2026 Letterpress Postcard Wall Calendar is perforated, so that at the end of each month, the design can be mailed. It’s$24 from Seven Sisters in Portland, OR (where Egg Press is also based). Above: Astier de Villatte’s Chat Bowl, $193, is intended “to serve water to your four-legged friends”—but works equally well for serving humans—or holding trinkets. Nickey Kehoe offers the studio’s companion Large Cat Bowl for $242. Above: Love Thy Beast’s cotton duck Canvas Pet Tote, $160 medium, $180 large, is ideal for NYC subway riders and their pets. Above: Vetreska’s Tangerine Cat Scratching Ball is currently $49.99, marked down from $64.99. Cherry and strawberry-shaped scratchers also available. Above: There’s much to admire at Phoebe Clive’s fabric and housewares shop Tinsmiths in Ledbury, England, including this 9.8-by-13.3-inch Blue Whippet Box File, £77, featuring a Mark Hearld print. Above: Designer Christopher Howe of Howe London is a celebrated canine lover. His customizable Dog-Bed Settee, starting at £15,960, was inspired by a 16th century hunting lodge sofa. Intended for man and beast, it has removable covers “in yours dog’s choice of fabric.”
