Architect Visit: Michaelis Boyd in London
December 16th, 2008
From Julie:
UK-based Michaelis Boyd Associates are “famed for their trademark minimalist refurbishments,” as the Times of London says. We admire this minimalist yet glamorous townhouse in Notting Hill, featuring a collision of ancien regime (rough-hewn stone pavers) and modern (sleek kitchen cabinets) elements.

The floors are gorgeous. But there is no place to sit or to store cold food–an unfinished project in my opinion.
