Kitchen: Tord Boontje Witches’ Kitchen

October 31st, 2008

From Julie:

Dutch designer Tord Boontje’s Witches’ Kitchen line for Artenica is inspired by the witches and wizards of Western lore. Handcrafted by artisan groups from three different South American countries, the collection features black ceramic cookware from Colombian artisans, wooden kitchen utensils handcarved by Guatemalan craftsmen, and kitchen couture hand-sewn by Brazil’s Coopa-Roca women’s cooperative. Generate offers the collection shown below—set of six utensils, casserole, saucepan, and witch’s and wizard’s oven mitts—for $239.
