Architect Visit: Claesson Koivisto Rune
July 21st, 2008
From Sarah:
I noticed recently that multi-disciplinary design and architectural firm Claesson Koivisto Rune, based in Stockholm, had designed the beautiful Sfera interiors store in Kyoto, which sent me to the architects’ website to peruse their work. I discovered this stunning house and studio in Baldringe, Sweden, for noted glass designer Ingegerd Råman; the simple, restrained interior and the selective use of color has me smitten. (I also notice that the Råman house is featured on the new blog Mopu42.)

I have this note about this renovation: From Dwell July August 2003 “with design, it should be like it has always been there,” when you go into the house, it is so quiet, Even people who don’t live here think it is quiet because of the proportions and the material. It is a very sensitive house.
Also, do you know anything about the pendent lamp hanging above the small black chair? It looks like a lamp in a Wenche Selmer interior that I’m curious about. It’s in a book “Norwegian Wood” in the section “A Loft in Moss.”
thanks

I know I’ve seen that pendant somewhere, but the closest *I* could find was the Puddle Pendant Lamp from CB2, in white:
