Slow Design: Vintage Chalkboard

July 18th, 2008

From Julie:

Spotted on Design*Sponge: a source for vintage frames turned into chalkboards. Blue Bell Bazaar on Etsy scours flea markets for old frames and repurposes them as whimsical chalkboards. Prices start at $48.

How would I make or find one like this in wrought iron or metal for my kitchen? Or something whimsical for a Tuscan look. The size I would need is 38 x 24 or smaller. Love this, but vintage won’t do for the look I need. Please advise. :)
