Tabletop: Isis Ceramics

Last summer, my friend Addie introduced me to Trove, a sophisticated interiors store in Weston, MA, which carries all sorts of coveted pieces from Madeline Weinrib and John Derian as well as from more obscure artisans. I was mesmerized by the handpainted plates, pitchers, and vases of Isis Ceramics, an Oxfordshire, England, workshop presided over by Deborah Sears, a painter and designer who has revived the art of 17th century English Delftware. I especially like the pieces from the Architectural Theme, which depicts scenes from the Palladian Grand Tour (including the Ancient Viaduct and the Temple Ruin). The ceramics are available in eight different colors, from sage green to saffron to oxblood.
