Design*Sponge recently ran a piece about communal dining: great idea. Made us think about dining benches, which led us to Design Public, which reminded us that one of our favorite sustainably oriented companies, NY-based Staach, makes fantastic dining benches, available in white, green, yellow, red, maple, poplar, black, blue, and gray.

Hi guys - I did that guest post over at D*S! so glad you liked it - these are certainly wonderful choices to add to the roster of communal dining ideas - and so affordable! That red table would be great with some grey chairs…thanks for posting them!

I love dining benches, too. The German label e15 makes some stunning simple pieces as well (among other things). You can check them out at http://www.e15.com
