From Julie:
Design*Sponge recently ran a piece about communal dining: great idea. Made us think about dining benches, which led us to Design Public, which reminded us that one of our favorite sustainably oriented companies, NY-based Staach, makes fantastic dining benches, available in white, green, yellow, red, maple, poplar, black, blue, and gray.

We first spotted New York–based Fernlund + Logan’s work on Materialicious. Curious, we perused their website and discovered this house in Sag Harbor; as close to perfect as you can get. The Swedish influence of Solveig Fernlund is abundantly evident here; the Hans Wegner wishbone chairs, the checkered tablecloth, the understated simplicity. See more of the duo’s work at fernlundlogan.com.
