Bath: Colored Vola Faucets
February 11th, 2008
From Julie:
Twenty years ago, my mother installed a white enamel finish Vola faucet in our house on Cape Cod. Only recently did I realize how ahead of her time she was (and how arduous it must have been to source that faucet). Just discovered the Vola HV1 faucets online; they’re available in 14 colors and are $823 at danishdesignstore.com.

Just wanted to tell you that Vola is Danish, not Finnish. Arne Jacobsen made the Vola fittings in 1968, and Vola is produced by Carl F.
By the way I love, love, love the picture;o)

Svanna, I don’t expect you to read this but I just had to laugh - the “enamel finish” is what you would call “emalje” or “lak”, it has nothing to do with the nationality.
