Architect Visit: PS Arkitektur

January 25th, 2008

From Julie:

A modest modernist cabin in the woods, from Stockholm firm PS Arkitektur. We love the unfinished plywood interior and the gray industrial kitchen cabinets. Go to PS Arkitektur for more photos.

There is a cabin in Normandie, France, and it’s too beautiful for words. I saw it in photo, in an issue of MarieClaire Maison, France - then I discovered it on the website of this same magazine. Its similar and so extremely beautiful. This one though, it’s more beautiful, the blend of white and wood walls give more brightness. I wish all new houses were like this! Is there a book available with photos of this? I would love to buy it.
I have done some DIY work on my own apartment, on Flickr/ my kitchen is the only thing shown, for now. But I designed it & did the wood finish. My flickr name is Citypix. –Christine

Ugh, plywood paneling? If you’re so desperate for modernity, just stay in your uptown apartment. The whole point of a cabin is living rustic.
