Lighting: Energy-Saving Lightbulbs

Last Thursday’s House & Home section of the New York Times featured a useful article comparing energy-efficient light bulbs. A panel of staff members judged the lighting effects of 21 bulbs; the winner was Philips Halogena (”very warm, golden light”), which purports to last for two years and costs about $5.
