I like your picks on the doorknobs - they look polished and shiny, but I truly hate doorknobs. I don't understand the facination with them in the US. I am used to doorhandles and I am looking forward to changing all my houses doorknobs to door handles. I am reminded of this dissadvantage everytime I have lotion on my hands and am trying to open a door. Poor old people, they must get even more aggravated... I would like to see a post that gives voters the option between a doorknob or doorhandle. Do a nice selection of both and let's see which one gets more votes...

Hi Steph,

hardwarehut.com lists a brushed chrome Schlage Orbit complete doorknob and rosette for $22.69 (list price is $34.90). I will add that to the piece! Thanks for your sharp eye.

i bought knobs but then the locksmith said they are not compatible with my door and i had to return them.

just thought a knob could work anywhere, so be careful if this is true!

I'm not sure where you found the Schlage Orbit doorknob for only $10. Was that price for only one side of the door! ; )

If you did find it for that price, would you be willing to share your source?

Thanks.

I found sets of the glass/crystal knobs featrure above. They don't fit into the existing holes made by newer types of knobs. I want to put them on my existing doors or new doors - how is that done?
