Design Voyeur: Plinth Furniture
December 18th, 2007
From Janet:
This quirky UK outfit sells antiques but also reworks vintage pieces and found objects to create absolute one-offs with a distinct aura of decaying aristocratic grandeur. All pieces are handmade in workshops in England “using the best quality hardwoods and all upholstery features horsehair filling and hand-dyed and antique linens.” The result? Characterful pieces that embody the best of English period style, with a contemporary edge. Get inspired at plinth.net. If you’re in the UK, swing by their showroom in London, SW6 (address on website); a selection of their pieces is also on view at Liberty.
