Proof that this modern kitchen is timeless? To avoid the obsolesce of too-trendy finishes, architect Malcom Davis achieved an urban farmhouse-style kitchen with board-and-batten paneling, ceramic tile, soapstone, and Carrara paired with industrial furnishings and a Wolf range.

Materials
The paneling and ceiling are painted Benjamin Moore Nimbus (1465), a soft gray—”at 50 percent strength,” the owners say referring to the mix of paint and primer to lighten the shade.
The cabinets are Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee OC 45 Paint.
The kitchen backsplash is made up of Heath Ceramics G7 Opaque White Tiles in the two-by-four inch rectangular shape.

The industrial table base seen in the kitchen came from Big Daddy’s Antiques; Will Wick of Wick Design (who helped the couple find some of the furnishings and make paint choices) fabricated the Carrara marble top, which can be raised and lowered from counter to bar height.

An affordable and practical commercial-style faucet, the Danze Parma Single-Handle Pre-Rinse Faucet has a 22.75-inch-tall, 10-inch-long spout with a spring-action wand that returns it to its place.
