Thom built the kitchen counter and bench from heart pine salvaged from early 19th-century building joists bought nearby. The floor is tongue-and-groove white pine.

The scalloped banquette was inspired by the antique seating sourced from various yard sales and eBay.
The living area opens right out onto the meadow by way of two large barn doors.

The vintage Swiss Stabelle chair was sourced from a Rhode Island antiques store. The one pictured here is the Swiss Alpine Escabelle Chair from Lucerne for $1,300 on 1st Dibs.
The Welsh milking stools were found on eBay.

The pillows and bedrolls are both from Tensira, makers of kapok fill cotton bedding in West Africa.
