This week we've been taken by Egyptian brand Kiliim, with richly hued cotton and wool kilim rugs are handwoven by artisans in Fowa, in the Nile Delta region. The company melds modern designs with age-old techniques; take a look at just a few of their rug offerings.
The terracotta and blue Bricks Rug is made from 100 percent wool on a cotton base (from $190).
The Rosetta Rug (from $190) was designed by “adapting the organic forms of various plants, such as the cypress tree and the pomegranate fruit, from the region."
The Stratus Rug (from $240), woven from 100 percent cotton.
The wool Teal Bustan Rug (from $190).
And part of Kiliim’s first ever collection: the Cream Yellow Arrows Rug (from $195), with geometric shapes in a vibrant ochre hue.
