Kitchen Tour: Life Imitates Art in the Cookspace of a Swedish Painter

Swedish painter Emma Bernhard‘s kitchen is much like her art: minimalist, bold, honest, with a fondness for black. Emma collaborated with Nordiska Kök to design the space, choosing the firm’s streamlined Valchromat cabinets for a sleek look that offsets the natural warmth of the home’s pine plywood walls.
Take a look.
Emma and her partner Jarl built their house in Torekov on the Bjäre Peninsula in southern Sweden.
Emma selected Nordiska Kök’s Valchromat line of minimalist in-frame cabinets.
Pine plywood benches blend seamlessly into the walls.
In-frame cabinets are an elegant and streamlined design.
Both the faucets are from Tapwell.
