Introducing OVERALLT: Ikea's Exciting New Collection

We’re going to be upfront: Overallt, Ikea’s new limited-edition collection, won’t hit stores until May. But it’s such a great, happy collection that we couldn’t wait to spotlight it.
“This chair is made out of a sheet of plywood and a jigsaw, technically. No necessity for nails, glue or screws or any other complex fabrication process,” says designer and architect Issa Diabaté.
Inspired by the Kenyan ritual of friends pulling up a chair at day’s end to shoot the breeze, the curved solid eucalyptus benches invite close talking.
“I imagine people sitting in this rocking chair, rocking and reflecting. I imagine my father who is in his eighties sitting in it, smoking his cigar; my sister-in-law with her newborn baby; my niece and nephews playing on it,” says Senegalese designer Bibi Seck.
The indoor/outdoor chair is $79 and the footstool is $44.99.
The striking quilted cotton blanket was designed by Cape Town-based artist and architect Renee Rossouw; $19.99.
The cork-topped oil holder and carafe are $6.99 and $12.99, respectively.
Fashion designer and artist Selly Raby Kane based her basket design on hair-braid styles; $19.99.
Each of these multicolor cushion covers is $7.99.
