Join us for a glimpse inside two rental cabins in the Catskills: Mill House No. 1 and Mill House No. 2. Both are the work of design couple Anna Aberg and Tom Roberts of Homestedt, a design firm, shop, and hospitality co.
The couple’s “principles for being good humans in the Catskills” are applied to all they do: avoid waste; keep things low-footprint; source locally.
Mill House No. 1 is nestled, along with the other two Mill Houses, on five acres near Livingston Manor.
A look into the kitchen and dining area, complete with Shaker peg rail.
The kitchen is fitted with vintage General Electric appliances.
Upstairs, the primary suite is done in shades of pale.
The bedroom features a clawfoot bath.
Mill House No. 2 is redone in “Scandinavian modern” meets Catskills style.
The rustic kitchen is fitted with reclaimed wood countertops.
It also comes stocked with Opinel knives, enamel cookware, and fresh coffee beans.
