Set the Mood with Subtle Lighting We’re eyeing Easy Peasy, a collection of portable, rechargeable LED table lamps designed by Luca Nichetto for Italian lighting brand Lodes. Genius lighting designer David Weeks is always on our list; one of our favorites is his Boi Sconce, which subtly filters light to allow for directional illumination. From Alabama Sawyer, a Birmingham-based studio dedicated to modern... ...environmentally sustainable products crafted from fallen trees, the limited-edition Hexagon Wood Bread Box adds a hint of luxury to the home kitchen; $295 from Alabama Sawyer. From Ode to Things, a Remodelista favorite, the marble Vincent Van Duysen Slate ($450-$480) is designed for displaying fine cheeses to elevate the cocktail hour. The made-in-France 100 percent stonewashed Linge Particulier Linen Dish Towel ($28) doubles as an apron (genius!). It’s possible with Alabama Sawyer’s wooden Compost Bin ($195) featuring a lightweight, removable stainless steel interior. Plus, it’s made from wood salvaged from downed trees, adding to its eco cred.
