This year in particular, we are coveting all things that add softness and warmth—sheepskins, mohair blankets, thick-soled slippers, candles—for weathering the winter months. We’ve rounded up our editors' favorite comfort objects, so to speak, to give this year (or buy for yourself).

From Alexa: “I treated myself to a pair of Poplin Sleepwear from Copenhagen-based company Tekla (prices start at $100; tops and bottoms sold separately). I rationalized the purchase by telling myself that pajamas are the new clothes.”

“We’ve been using our Evangeline Linen throws nonstop,” reports Julie. We’re fans of all the Maine-based company’s offerings, though this Mohair Throw (shown here in rosé, $297) would make for a particularly soft addition for a winter indoors.

“For the tea drinkers in the bunch: How’s this for an upgrade?” says Fan. It’s the Real Leaf Strainer from Qi Fine Teas, intricately made from a real mulberry leaf and, at only $3.99, a lovely option for a stocking stuffer.

“I like the idea from J. Hannah of her line of Pivot Rings, based on the idea of fidget spinners for anxiety,” says Alexa. Prices start at $395.

The name might not inspire relaxation, but a cup of tea in one certainly would: “Trigger Mugs, in production for decades at Bennington Pottery,” says Margot. They start at $18 each.

I love the idea of these candles by UK-based Botanical Candle Co.: First Light, shown here, for lighting early in the morning; Half Light, for lighting “just as the sun is low in the sky"; and Last Light, for “when the night sets in.” They start at £10 each.

“On my wish list: a pretty bird feeder for observing avian visitors from the kitchen window,” Fan says. She especially likes the Glass Bird Feeders from Danish brand Eva Solo, $59 for a set of two from Didrik’s.

“A friend of mine clued me in to the best cashmere watchcap ever. I even wear it indoors,” says Julie. It’s the Golightly Cashmere Watchcap, hand-knit in the US and available in 17 colorways ($165).

Last but not least, Julie and Fan both swear by felted Glerups: “I’ve always loved my slippers, but this year I’ve been quite literally living in them, and they are as cozy as ever,” reports Fan. This pair is the Boot with Leather Sole in gray ($125).
