For Let: A Restored and Artful House in Belgium

A former cafe and inn, the Good Repose house has been renovated by two Belgian artists as “an escape for those who enjoy life to the fullest”; the gut renovation included opening up the floor plan, bringing light in, replastering walls, and redesigning the kitchen and baths. Take a look:

A dining area made up of a painted vintage table, Outdoor Dining Chairs by Paola Navone for Serax, and a Jos Devriendt Large Pendel Pendant.

A view into the kitchen shows the original elements of the building’s structure.

Through the arched doorway is a vintage green leather barber stool and a bell jar table lamp.

The kitchen has a granite countertop, a Boffi cooktop, and a Bauknecht oven.

The Serax Fashion Rack with cement shelves hosts a collection of Belgian objets and handmade vases.

The living room is a blend of old and new.

The upstairs loft has two bedrooms and a bathroom with cork flooring and plaster walls.

The little house opens onto a small gravel courtyard.
