In case you needed another prompt to book a trip to Portugal, allow us to introduce you to Rosamar, a new seafood restaurant in Lisbon, done over by Studio Pim. Join us for a look at its seaside style.

When entrepreneurs Margaux Marcy and Pierre d’Andrimont acquired the building and decided to open a third restaurant in Lisbon, they again called on Belgian designer Perrine Velge of Studio Pim.

Their request? A sense of the seaside and the beach, but nothing too overt.

The ship-like bar, with white-painted paneling on the back wall.

In the main dining area, the team kept the glass ceiling in place, adding “a raft-like timber structure” with white fabric woven through it.

An archway is clad in tiles, a nod to Portuguese azulejos.

Back in the bar, a wood-clad stair leads to more spaces above.

Note the colorful assortment of sea-themed posters.

Upstairs, the space feels particularly nautical, with blue tiles on the back wall and vintage-feeling built-in booths.

Ceramics are hung on the wall and set into sculptural niches.

The back terrace is lush and Mediterranean, with curvilinear banquettes, rattan pendants, and plenty of plants.
