The hard sides keep juicy tomatoes from getting smashed or picnic sandwiches from flattening. Great to take to the farmer’s market, foraging, on a canoe trip or any other wholesome activity where free hands and toting capacity is needed.
Rattan is lighter per square inch than even a good canvas. The bottom of the basket is reinforced and fitted with an ash wood runner so it stands up squarely. A leather handle is fitted along the top.
