Bathroom of the Week: Two Bath Remodels with Bold Green Tile in Auckland

September 15, 2017

New Zealand designer Katie Lockhart first honed her skills as a stylist before starting her interior design business and founding shop Everyday Needs (where she also launched a paint line). Earlier this year, Lockhart returned her focus to interiors and has been restoring Auckland’s tired suburban homes into characterful spaces. One such project is the renovation of two bathrooms in a midcentury farmhouse on the North Shore of Auckland with green Heath Ceramics tile, handmade storage cabinets, and matte white fixtures. Here’s a look.

The proportions of the sink and cabinet were determined by the dimensions of the tile, and the studio worked backward from there.
