Unusual design operates as smooth as silk. This caught our attention in a Japanese maker's brochure first because of their unusual handles. We wondered how they would feel, and the answer is fantastic. Smooth, smooth, smooth.

Because the maker designed them primarily for kitchen use, the halves easily come apart for cleaning, but this writer, for one, never wants to cut paper with anything else again. Cutting edges are 3". They open and close as smooth as silk - from beginning to end. This is a beautiful tool for any home or shop. Absolutely elegant.
