“Take a bundle of reeds, tie them tight at the ends, spread them in the middle and this is what you get. The Floor Reed simply reverses the tie to the middle and the spread to the ends. The bundles of bamboo strips used in their assembly are shipped ready machined, so we are not freighting useless waste. Reed assembly is not quite as simple as their design so are supplied ready made.” – David Trubridge
David’s prolific body of work has been featured in museums, private residences, commercial spaces, restaurants, coffee shops and hotels the world round. He continues to work from New Zealand as he creates designs based on inspiration pulled from the natural world. All pendants made from sustainable bamboo.
