Neva Balnikova is a jewelry designer based in Sofia, Bulgaria, a country gaining economic freedom from the communist era. Her work draws upon tensions between the natural and manmade and uses sculptural technique. These poor animal brooches comment on the way animals are frequently treated in society and remind us to take better care of them.
