Description from Everyday Needs

The Cocel rice cooker is a donabe (earthenware pot) from 4th-market, a company who came about through the collaborative effort of four makers of ‘Bankoyaki’ Ceramics in the Yokkaichi area of Mie Prefecture, Japan. Each maker brought distinct techniques to create a brand of kitchenware that has clean, simple designs in muted earthy tones, and a handmade quality such as is seen in this lovely cooker. The pot sits directly on an open flame to let you prepare delicious rice the old fashioned way. The earthenware allows for even and efficient distribution of heat, and rice prepared in such cookers is said to be more flavorful than that from their modern electric counterparts.

Heat resistant earthenware, this rice cooker is oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe. Produces 3 cups of rice. Made in Japan.
