Bare Light

The natural electrical insulating properties of glass are utilized to create a light socket that allows the electrical components to be seen, yet safely protected. This fixture casts a surprising highlight where the cord enters the socket. Like a piece of fiber optic cable, the glass light socket internally refracts the light from the bulb and bends it upwards to illuminate the cloth cord.
