Walls, Windows & Floors: RAW Rugs

BY Janet Hall

Atlanta-based design studio Union Eighteen takes unused carpet scraps from the manufacturing process and repurposes the remnants into one-of-a-kind rugs called RAW Rugs. Their efforts to reuse help keep carpet scraps out of landfills (where they can survive for 50,000 plus years). RAW Rugs are custom made in any size, shape, color, and texture; as an added bonus, Chicago-based @WorkDesign (call 708-488-9297) is offering a 15 percent savings on all custom RAW rug orders through the end of May 2010.
