Hardware: Metal Toggle Switch

I have a weak spot for utilitarian industrial fittings. This weatherproof on-off lever switch of die-cast zinc (available at my corner hardware store or any Home Depot) would work indoors as well, especially in a minimalist interior. $7 for the single; $10.50 for the double Steel City Dry-Tite switch-box cover with lever at Thomas & Betts.

These are cool, but would they get by the code inspector? My electrician is pretty obsessive.
Does anyone have the product # for the double cover? I am having trouble locating it on the Thomas & Betts site and would like to order them since my local hardware does not have them.
