Lighting: Nauset Lantern Shop

April 14, 2009

From Julie:

The Nauset Lantern Shop in Orleans, MA, is a classic New England institution, complete with taciturn sales help. For the past fifty years, the shop has been making faithful reproductions of nautical, mission, and colonial light fixtures that feature an appealingly imperfect look; unfortunately the website at Nauset Lantern Shop does not do justice to their offerings (a testament to the integrity of their work: uber-chic NY architects Tsao McKown used the lanterns in a Provincetown project). All models are available in copper, brass, or pewter.
