Discovered (and admired) at the Paris Hotel Boutique: cast-iron and metal Vintage English Schoolroom Hooks; $60 each. Expensive, but just a single hook (as a dishtowel holder, for instance) would be enough to add charm to an otherwise ordinary kitchen.
